Apple has a new iPad Pro version out and it’s not the 9.7 inch one, but rather a unique edition, that Jony Ive himself imagined. This one off model has been put up for auction and the proceeds will go to the London Design Museum.
The Museum is moving to Kensington from its previous placement and needs funding. The unique iPad Pro has a 12.9 inch screen and keeps all the specs you know. The novelty is the anodized special yellow dye and the cobalt blue leather smart cover, lined with suede microfiber. The Apple Pencil gets a fiery orange leather case, apparently.
On the back of the slate you’ll find etched “Edition 1 of 1” with laser, to confirm how unique the product is. The auction will be available on April 28th and the figures of $15k and $20k are being thrown around already. Looking forward to seeing more work from respected chief designer Jony Ive, because he’s certainly a talent in the field.
