As Apple has to face huge demand for the iPad 2, it has to increase its demand of components from its partners, thus affecting the shipment of components to other companies like RIM, for example. The Canadian giant and maker of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet will launch it on April 19 in the US and Canada.

Priced at $499.99, this debut will benefit Quanta Computer, upstream assembly partner for RIM and Foxlink, connector supplier for the BlackBerry maker and for the iPad 2. Quanta will have to increase production, having faith in the RIM product and predicting important sales for it. Sources from touchscreen panel makers are saying that the PlayBook shipments were delayed a month, because of the shortage caused by Apple.

The Cupertino giant booked most of the available panels, thus creating this crisis… What other tablets will be affected?
