The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, probably the least talked about sub 10 inch tablet this year has just received Android 4.2.2 for the WiFi version of the device. We’re talking about the US version here, that can get the update via OTA or Samsung Kies.
There have been a few reports saying that the update was available for a few days now, but the final push was needed for the launch these days. There are some stability improvements included here, plus some minor changes to the TouchWiz experience, that the LTE version already got last month. Contacts, S Planner and Email got those improvements.
In order to see if the update is available to you, you can check for an update from the Settings area or connect to your computer via Kies. I guess we’re in for a long wait till the Android 4.3 release reaches this device, if ever…
