Google just allowed us to have a glance at the future of the Android platform, through a video published on its Android YouTube page. Honeycomb will indeed be Android 3.0 as shown here and this is the very first look at the upcoming tabled-intended operating system.

Honeycomb is truly an OS for tablets, not for smartphones, just like Android 2.2 was a platform perfect for phones, but not that good for slates. Google Talk video calling looks great and the new and improved YouTube app is certainly appealing and something we’d like to see on our desktops in the future.

We’ve already seen bits and pieces of the Android 3.0 media player, but we’ll never get enough of it. Reading eBooks also seems intuitive, but we’ll let you enjoy the rest of the experience for yourselves:
