Amazon’s 7 inch Kindle Fire tablet has all it takes to become a future hit, according to experts, but that can become both a blessing and a curse. For one thing, the production pressure is huge, as Amazon is trying to reach 5 million Kindle Fire units by the year end, according to Digitimes.
The e-tailer already increased its order volume in Q3 up from 3.5 million units to 4 million. Now they will change it again to 5 million units, that should be ready before the year is out. Such a move was predictable, considering how people react when they hear about a $200 tablet. The only thing that’s not clear yet is whether or not this product will leave the USA…
As far as the Kindle Fire follow-up is concerned, this next tablet is supposed to debut in Q1 2012, packing an 8.9 inch screen and better design, apparently. The price will, of course go up and something like $350 or even $400 is expected. Are you interested in a Kindle Fire, considering everyone wants a HP TouchPad with ported Android?
