Amazon debuted new tablets today, the Fire 7 and Fire 7 Kids Edition models, in the 2019 version. They stick to the same prices as the predecesors and bump up the specs abit.
Both Fire 7 slates that came today have faster quad core 1.3 GHz processors and 16 GB or 32 GB of storage, which is double compared to the predecessor. The newcomers are up for preorder at just $50 and $70, which increase to $65 and $85 if you want to skip ads on the lockscreen.
Aside from extra CPU power and extra storage, the devices have colors like Sage, Plum and Twilight Blue. The products will hit the shelves on June 7th, but those who preorder get a $10 credit for Amazon’s app store. The new Fire 7 Kids Edition is also here, engineered for little ones and sporting a kid proof case, plus a 2 year replacement guarantee and one whole year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited.
As the name shows, the Fire 7 Kids Edition has a 7 inch screen, faster CPU too and 16 GB of storage, plus microSD. There’s FreeTime parental control and the price is $100. Preorders till June 6th bundle a free pair of headphones with Toy Story 4 characters.
