I have to admit that we’re in a region of the world where reviewing an Amazon tablet is kind of hard, since most of its services aren’t activated in Eastern Europe. Now, Amazon wants to fix that, so they’ve announced that they will bring the Kindle Fire HD to over 170 countries and expand the Appstore to almost 200 countries.
The 7 inch and 8.9 inch version of the Kindle Fire HD are now available for preorder in over 170 countries all over the world. The Kindle Fire HD comes with a 1280 x 800 pixel display and a 1.2 GHz dual core OMAp4460 processor, while the 8.9 inch unit has a 1200p display and a 1.5 GHz CPU of the OMAP4470 kind.
The two are available for $199 and $269 respectively and they’ll ship to new countries from June 13th. The good news about the Amazon Appstore is that sometimes it gets exclusive games, content and offers you won’t find on the Play Store. There’s one kind of user who will love this: the kind of person who has an iPad AND Kindle Fire/Fire HD. Are you one of them?
