It’s not Amazon Prime Day yet, but the price cuts sure look like it. Amazon has started a massive Fire sale, which brings the 7 inch Fire tablet for just $35. The offer is available on Amazon.com and it takes off up to $50 from the entire Fire tablet lineup.
After the discount, the prices start from as low as $34.99, if you’re looking for a basic slate package. The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus is actually an even better deal, for just $79.99, which is $30 off. Amazon has also cut the price of its Kindles. The 7 inch slate offers 16 or 32 GB of storage, a microSD card slot, plus a 7 inch screen with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. There’s the promise of 7 hours of battery life and it weighs 286 grams. It has an USB-C port, a mono speaker and a 2 MP back camera.
The Fire HD 8 offers 32 GB of storage, it’s 30% faster than the predecessor and 20% longer battery life. It has 2 GB of RAM, a quad core CPU and Alexa support. It has up to 12 hours of battery life and the Fire HD 8 Plus upgrades the RAM to 3 GB and keeps the 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and the 32 or 64 GB of storage.
