The Allview Viva i8 is a Romanian tablet, that is in fact a rebranded Teclast P89 Mini model, that’s now available on Amazon for a very good price. The device is priced at $219 and it comes inside a wide white box, with its specs written on it.

This slate is actually thinner than the iPad Mini and I mention that tablet, because the Allview Viva i8 adopts its format. The device measures 7.25 mm in thickness, weighs 312.5 grams, being both lighter and slimmer than Apple’s slate from last year. We’ve got a 7.9 inch display on board of the device, an IPS LCD with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and 4:3 format.

Inside the box we find a manual, charger, USB cable and special code for Bitdefender Mobile Security Premium for a month. This model relies on a pretty powerful Intel Z2580 dual core 2 GHz processor and it uses a PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU. Specs also include 16 GB of storage, 1 GB of RAM, a microSD card slot and everything is packed inside an aluminum slate.

There’s a 5 MP back camera, GPS, stereo speakers and 4600 mAh battery. We’ll be back with a review before you know it.
