If you’re looking for a cheap tablet with a decent screen resolution and, also decent CPU a price below $250, then we suggest you have a glance at the Allview AllDro2 Speed HD, a tablet that has just been announced by Eastern European company Allview, based in Romania.

We’ve reviewed some of their products before and found them to be fit for the prices they offer. This model comes with preinstalled Android 4.0 ICS, a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor, Mali 400 GPU and 8 GB of storage. Its screen supports a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and adopts a 4:3 aspect ratio. Other features include 1 GB of DDR3 RAM, a microSD card slot, a USB 2.0 port, WiFi and 3G support, the later through a special dongle. Allview AllDro2 Speed HD measures 9.9mm in thickness, weighs 498 grams and has an aluminum back cover.

Camera-wise you get a front 0.3MP sensor for videocalls and whatnot and a main 2MP shooter at the back. On the audio side you get two 1 W speakers and there’s even a HDMI port on board, ready to output Full HD content to a HDTV. The new Allview model relies on a 3.7 V Li-Polymer battery for about 5.7 hours of functioning time.
