Alldocube X is a device we’ve covered before and it’s a sort of “flagship tablet” that was the subject of crowdfunding and now we learn it’s coming on August 8th. The maker of the device is pushing it as a sort of Galaxy Tab S4 rival.

Crowdfunded via Indiegogo, the product packs a Super AMOLED Quad HD screen, with a 10.5 inch diagonal, which actually sounds much like the Tab S4. It also offers a 100.000:1 contrast ratio and a 16:10 aspect. Inside the device there’s a hexa core MediaTek CPU, a MT8176 unit, which is clocked up to 2.1 GHz. There’s also an IMG PowerVR GX6250 GPU at 600 MHz, plus an AKMI HiFi audio chip.

That feature is used to minimize distortion, harmonics, noise and other disturbances, in order to provide a proper HiFi sound. The tablet comes with 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage and a microSD card slot. It also has Android 8.1 Oreo as the OS and it’s priced at $219 in the initial wave of funding. The retail price will be $269. The product has a fingerprint scanner and a pretty amazing ultraslim design, with a metal body that’s just 6.9 mm in thickness.

It uses an 8000 mAh battery, plus an 8 megapixel back camera, plus 8 MP front shooter. The battery life should be up to 8 hours here. Interestingly there’s also an USB Type-C port on board with the promise of fast charging.

You can find out more about the product on Indiegogo and also contribute in order to get the early bird discounts.
