There’s a new tablet in town, if the town is Mumbai of course. Alcatel just launched the Alcatel A3 10 slate in India, with a 10.1 inch display on board and a $149 price tag. The device has midrange specs and it doesn’t seem to compromise a lot.
It has 16 GB of storage, but it also offers 3 GB of RAM. Inside is there’s a quad core CPU, coupled with a 4600 mAh battery and the 10.1 inch screen offers a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. There’s an 8 megapixel back camera here and a front 5 MP sensor, too. Flipkart will be selling the product from May 1st. Alcatel A3 10 offers 4G LTE as the selling point and an IPS LCD panel upfront.
It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and its CPU is clocked at 1.1 GHz. The promise is that you will get web browsing and gaming done with this device. It also offers up to 7 hours of functioning on a single charge. A 3D texturized back cover makes sure you get enough grip. I should probably mention that last year Alcatel already launched an entry level A3 tablet with a 10 inch screen and also with 4G, so this is more of a refresh.
Specs have been upgraded and the price of the older A3 is kept. A microSD card slot is also here and we have split screen functionality too.
