The guys of Notebook Italia found something interesting on Acer’s website, that being hints regarding the company’s Tegra 3 tablet. They found some details in the XML file that’s shown below and we now know there will be a A700/A701 model with the following specs:

The Acer tablet will pack a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, it will most likely adopt a 10 inch display and it will support a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The aspect ratio here will be 16:10 instead of 16:9 because of the fact that the screen surpasses the 1080p HD resolution. This makes this slate great for playing games and watching movies, considering these feats.

The problem here will be that this unique resolution will most likely have problems with some of the Android apps, that are known for their lack of proper scaling. I certainly hope the Acer A700/A701 uses Android 4.0 and not Honeycomb, since maybe the new Android solved the resolution problems of its predecessors handling unique screen sizes better. The XML file shows that this is a WiFi only device, but the A701 version of the 3G one, so there’s hope in that area too.
