After unveiling them at IFA 2015, Acer launched its Predator series products today on the Taiwanese market. That series includes notebooks and desktops, but also the Acer Predator 8 gaming tablet, pictured below.
Acer Taiwan president Towny Huang was present at the local unveiling, claiming that the company is expected to surpass Asustek and become the second largest gaming notebook vendor in Taiwan in the future, following MSI. Anyway, back to the Predator 8 tablet, this model is an 8 incher with a 1920 x 1200 pixel display and a price tag of $303. It comes with Android 5.1 and weighs 350 grams, plus it measure 8.7 mm in thickness.
Other specs include a 5 megapixel main camera, a front 2 MP shooter and an Intel Atom x7 CPU at its core, plus 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Everything comes in a gunmetal grey aluminum body shell, with red speakers placed at every corner, a quad acoustic system called Predator Quadio. It also brings Dolby software for extra sound depth.
