Acer Japan debuted today the Acer Iconia One 8 tablet, codenamed B1-850, a model that runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and has modest specs. Its processor is a MediaTek MT8163, clocked at 1.3 GHz.
We also get an 8 inch screen with an IPS LCD panel and a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Then there’s a 5 megapixel main camera and a front 2 MP shooter, while connectivity is taken care of by Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. RAM is at 1 GB and storage at 16 GB, most likely complemented by a microSD card slot.
The handset offers a Li-Po battery with a 4600 mAh capacity and comes only in white. It has a slightly rounded back and big bezels, plus a case made of plastic. I see there’s quite a bit of bloatware installed, judging by the homescreen.
