Over the past weeks we’ve seen quite a few leaks related to smaller format Windows 8 tablets and it all started with the minimum requirements for Win 8 resolutions getting decreased. Then came the official word from the MS CFO last week and now we’ve got a genuine leak of an 8 inch Win 8 slate.
It’s the Acer Iconia W3 we’re talking about, although you shouldn’t get your hopes up, since this could be a fake/Chinese clone, just like many other leaks. The tablet here was leaked by French site Minimachines, that claims they have more images and details related to the Iconia W3, that could be the first 8 inch tablet on Microsoft’s new platform.
The tablet is supposed to pack 2 GB of RAM and a 1.8 GHz Atom Z2760 processor, front and rear cameras, a microSDHC card slot and accessories. Among them we find this huge dock with keyboard and a cover that can be used as a kickstand. Speculations say this model may debut in the back to school time frame around September.
