Well, this has been a busy week: first ASUS officially offered for sale the Full HD tablet Transformer Pad Infinity 700 and now Acer puts out its own Full HD slate, the A700. This model is available for a pretty accessible $449.99 price tag in Canada, so I think it’s a good offer.
This is the 32GB model I’m talking about, available in either black or silver. This is one of the best Android 4.0 slates on the market and it offers a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution on the 10.1 inch LED backlit display and under the hood there’s a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor doing the hard work. Other specs include Dolby Mobile 3, WiFi connectivity, HDMI out, 1GB of RAM and a microSD card slot. Juicing up the gadget is a 9800 mAh batery, that provides around 10.5 hours of functioning time.
The tablet is available at national electronics retailers in Canada and customers can also get the portofolio case accessory for the low price of $39.99. This case has good grip and grants access to all the important ports and connectors. So, this device costs more than twice the amount of the Nexus 7… and it’s a quad core device, just like the Google Tablet. Is it worth it?
