That’s also confirmed by ComScore’s latest figures, showing that 23.56% of American smartphone owners also have an iPad, Kindle Fire or some other touchscreen tablet.

The stats apply to the month of April and means that 16.5% of cellphone owners in the US of A, quite a jump from the 4.7% from one year ago. There’s also a bunch of stats regarding video watching on said tablets, saying that more than half of tablet users, 53% use Netflix or YouTube on their devices at least once a month. 9.5% do that daily, so the market for video playback and streaming on tablets is wide open and ripe for the taking. Tablet owners are three times more likely to watch video on the go than the smartphone lovers.
