Recently, a new patent from Microsoft revealed the fact that the company may develop a new kind of gaming controller for tablets, a product that will split in two parts as we can see in the picture below. The controller in case is looking pretty much the same as a regular Xbox controller, but it has a special feature.
We can split the controller in two pieces and attach them to both sides of the tablet, getting in this way an experience similar to the one offered by a portable console. The patent says that one of the modules will offer an input button while the 2nd module will communicate with the tablet wirelessly.
Even if this one is an interesting idea, you must find out that out there on the market there’s another similar product developed by Razer, more precisely the Razer Edge. It remains to see if Microsoft will launch this product sometime soon or if is just a patent and nothing more.
