Well folks, good news for those of you who still gave the Motorola XOOM tablet a chance: its 4G LTE upgrade will begin next week. The info comes through a series of emails, sent by Motorola to its customers, in order to alert them about the upgrade.

Droid-Life is also claiming that Moto will give priority to business and government customers, as a pilot program debuts at first and then switches to the general public. All you need to do is file an upgrade request before Motorola sends via mail a package with a pre-paid FedEx box and instructions.

Motorola suggest you backup your data on the tablet before sending it in for upgrades. Also, the process is expected to take about 3 business days, in case you’re wondering. Plus, you shouldn’t send charging docks, chargers and additional accessories, just as a side note for those of you preparing the package already. Are you ready for LTE on your XOOM or do you expect bugs?
