Oukitel is a name you’ve probably heard, associated with bulky and rugged phones, but they also make tablets. They have a new model incoming, the Oukitel RT3 Pro, a rugged slate with IP69K rating.
The RT3 rugged tablet was unveiled back in December 2022 and it’s well due a successor. Next month, in October we will get the Pro model. The Pro will be powered by a Helio G81 processor and it’ll run Android 14 out of the box. There will also be 4 GB of RAM in the mix and 128 GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot. The tablet comes with an 8 inch screen with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and inside it we find a rather small battery, with a capacity of 5150 mAh and supporting 18W fast charging.
There are also 3 cameras here, one 8 megapixel selfie camera upfront and a 16 MP primary camera at the back, as well as a 0.3 MP secondary unit. The ratings are all solid and I’m talking about an IP68/IP69K rating and a military standard STD-810H certification. The product is 13.9 mm thick and it weighs 538.1 grams. It will be sold with the motto “Tough and Compact for Every Need”.
The target audience will be “pet parents”, outdoor enthusiasts and industrial workers. No info on the price just yet.
