The Redmi Pad Pro is the latest budget tablet on the market, coming from Xiaomi. The device was announced yesterday, together with the Redmi Turbo 3 smartphone. We’re dealing here with the first Pro tablet from Redmi, that features a 12.1 inch screen.
This one is an IPS LCD with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate and 16:!0 aspect, plus 600 nits of brightness. Also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. There are quad speakers on board with Dolby Atmos and even a 3.5 mm audio jack. The slate uses the powerful midrange CPU Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen2, as well as a 10.000 mAh battery with 33W charging.
Aside from the Snapdragon CPU, we also get 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage. The Pad Pro packs an 8 megapixel ultrawide camera upfront and a main 8 MP back camera with a wide lens. The tablet runs on HyperOS, based on Android 14 and supports continuity features between HyperOS phones and Xiaomi PCs and laptops.
There’s mirroring, mobile data connectivity between them and you can use the slate’s screen as a secondary display wirelessly comnnected to the compatible Xiaomi PCs. The Pad Pro packs a 10.000 mAh battery with 33W charging. Xiaomi is also offering a stylus and keyboard case, which are sold separately. Redmi Pad Pro is available in grey, green and blue, plus an exclusive Harry Potter edition, that bundles a stylus, leather cover and extra Harry Potter themed merch.
The price starts at $207 for the 6 GB RAM, 128 GB storage unit.
