After a few teasers, Lenovo took advantage of the CES 2023 event and finally unveiled the Lenovo Tab M9 tablet. This is a budget offering, a slate priced at just $140, that comes with a basic hardware package.

It’s a 9 inch machine with an octa core processor and oddly enough we’ll have to wait till Q3 2023 for it. Lenovo Tab M9 uses an IPS LCD display with a 1340 x 800 pixel resolution. It’s made of aluminum and uses a 2 megapixel selfie camera, that sits on the bezel, not a notch. We also have an 8 megapixel main camera with Full HD video capture. Inside we find a MediaTek Helio G80, together with 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

There’s also a microSD card slot with 2 TB card support. Its battery is a 5100 mAh unit, that’s supposed to provide up to 13 hours of video playback. Lenovo Tab M9 will be made available in both Wi-Fi and 4G versions. It offers Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C and GPS. It runs on Android 12 out of the box and ships with Netflix and Google Kids Space. Honestly it makes no sense to launch it in the fall, so I feel it should come earlier.
