Realme held quite a big event today, unveiling the Realme Book laptop and one would have expected the Realme Pad tablet to also appear. Well, I guess it didn’t and even more than that, it only got a brand new teaser related to its screen.

Realme has announced that its slate is coming pretty soon, with an AMOLED panel and it should fight the recently unveiled Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 tablet series. The Realme Pad has received quite a few leaks over the past few months. According to those leaks, the device should have a 7000 mAh battery and a dual tone back side with a singular back camera. A 10.4 inch screen has also been seen in renders, albeit with quite thick bezels.

The rumors also point towards 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. There’s also talk of a Wi-Fi only version of the slate and also a 4G version. A Q3 debut has also been thrown in the rumor mill, but the launch now seems closer than ever. I sure hope we’re getting a better CPU than the Unisoc units we’ve seeing lately on leaked models. A Snapdragon 860 or 870 would be nice, following in the footsteps of Xiaomi and the Mi Pad 5.

A high refresh rate is also possible for the AMOLED panel.
