We’ve seen a presumed Galaxy Tab S5 leaked before, but this time it appears in a benchmark powererd by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. The device is codenamed SM-T865, which is one of the names associated to the Tab S5 in the past, when it got leaked.
It’s also known under the codename SM-T860 and it should bring flagship level specs. The GeekBench listing mentions the Snapdragon 855 CPU, which is nice to finally see on a tablet. Samsung usually relied on a previous gen Qualcomm CPU on its slates. 6 GB of RAM are also mentioned, plus Android 9.0 Pie with One UI. The scores achieved here are quite high, at 3506 points in the single core test and 9788 in the multi core one.
We’re also expecting a 10.5 inch screen in the mix, of the AMOLED variety. The predecessor, Galaxy Tab S4 debuted in August last year and we’re expecting a similar time frame for this model, perhaps with the Galaxy Note 10. That unit had a Super AMOLED screen with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio.
It was based on the Snapdragon 835 processor, hooked up with 4 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. We’re expecting yet again a glass and metal combo, perhaps not as slim as the bendable Tab S5e, that’s crazy skinny at 5.55 mm in waistline. We’re also expecting some serious accessories, like a keyboard, stylus and covers.
