Acer is also debuting Chromebooks these days, at IFA 2017. They’ve just unveiled the new Chromebook 15 model, priced at $399 and up and coming from October. It’ll be ideal for the Back to School period and students especially.

The full name of the product is actually Acer Chromebook 15 (CB15-1H/HT) and it keeps the 15.6 inch Full HD screen of the predecessor, but this time it measures 0.7 inches in thickness and weighs just 3.8 pounds, thus dropping a pound from its predecessor. The CPU choice includes a dual core Intel Celeron N3350 or quad core N3450, but there’s also a Pentium N4200 Apollo Lake version.

Acer also provides here models with 4 or 8 GB of RAM, as well as 32 or 64 GB of storage. A backlit keyboard is in the mix as well and speakers have been integrated on either side of the machine. A HD webcam with 88 degree field of view also makes the cut. Google Play Store comes preinstalled and the laptop brings on modern connectivity like USB Type-C, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, two USB 3.0 ports and a HDMI port, as well as an audio jack and SD card reader.

Touch and non touch versions of the product have been promised.
