Jolla announced this week that their tablet was being delayed till the end of July, because of some changes brought to the product. It appears that Sailfish OS 2.0 must still be developed and that the slate’s screen has been changed.

Jolla decided to replace the display on the tablet, in favour of one with an improved color spectrum, a more balance one. This, of course will affect production and delay the device. Originally, the Jolla tablet was scheduled to appear in June, but not it will come before the end of July. However, in June Jolla intends to open a program for app developers, that will get early access to the Jolla tablet.

This device was unveiled last year, in November and it comes with a 7.85 inch IPS LD screen, supporting a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. Inside we find a quad core Intel processor, clocked at 1.8 GHz, as well as 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. There’s a 5 MP back shooter here, able to record Full HD 60 FPS videos, a front 2 MP camera and a microSD card slot.

This model has a 4300 mAh battery and should be priced at around $249.
