During a press event that ended a couple of minutes ago, the Finnish company Nokia officially unveiled the mysterious product that was behind the teaser pictures arrived lately on the company’s Facebook page. This new hardware product is called Nokia N1, a tablet that brings high-end specs and the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.
Among the specs of this device we have a 7.9-inch IPS LED display with a 2.048 x 1.536 pixel resolution that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz (64-bit), 2 GB of RAM memory, 32 GB of internal memory and a PowerVR G6430 GPU.
We also get a 5.300 mAh battery, dual stereo speakers with an audio level of 90 dB, a microUSB v2.0 reversible Type-C port and the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with the Z-Launcher applied on top, this launcher being another Nokia product that starting today is available for free in Google Play Store.
Nokia N1 brings a 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with fixed focus, Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth 4.0 technology that allows us to send files between devices or to connect it to a Bluetooth keyboard, or any other peripheral that uses Bluetooth.
From the design point of view, we get to know that Nokia N1 was build form a single piece of aluminium with a thickness of 6.9 mm that will be available in silver and gray for a $249 price tag. This tablet will be sold for the moment in China, followed later by other markets from Europe.
