Believe it or not, Google rejected HTC’s tablet, in spite of the two companies working excellently in the Android smartphone segment. The info comes from a JPMorgan analyst and we learn that the big G is focusing on Motorola’s tablet as the take off platform for Android 3.0, with LG Optimus Pad also being a favorite for Honeycomb’s debut.

Well, the HTC slate design wasn’t totally rejected, but rather pushed to Spring 2011, for reasons yet unknown. From what we’ve heard so far, HTC’s tablet will sport a Tegra 2 CPU and 720p display. The device is expected to show up at CES 2011, in January. Could this move from Google mean that the search engine’s new favorite hardware maker is now Motorola and not HTC?
