Although we’ve found out over the past days that next month may bring us a new Apple event, focused on desktop software and tablets, it would seem that Asian sources have found out that the iPad Mini 3 is being delayed. The info comes from Taiwanese publication Business Times.
They claim that the iPad Air 2 is indeed coming, but the iPad Mini 3 is temporarily delayed, coming in 2015. The reason for that, according to some analysts is that the iPhone 6 Plus and the iPad Mini are products that are very close when it comes to their uses and purposes. Cannibalization is a possibility and the iPad Mini Retina is a very good tablet even now, without a solid Android rival, maybe aside from the Galaxy Tab S 8.4.
The iPad Air 2 meanwhile is expected to bring a Touch ID fingerprint scanner, an 8 megapixel camera, improved Facetime cam, the Apple A8 processor, a thinner body and some shuffling of the design elements. A change in button format may come and the whole device may just get rounder.
