In keeping with the current international tensions, Russia has come up with a spy proof tablet, that may be very useful in this hack prone environment. Developed by a local research institute, this product is meant for the country’s security services.
This device can operate underwater and it comes with a “smart button”, that allows users to physically disconnect communication modules and sensors to prevent it from being hacked. There’s also a new spy proof mobile operating system in the mix, called RoMOS, that has been developed in tandem with this project. The info comes from Dmitry Petrov, deputy head of development at the Central Scientific Research Institute of Economics.
RoMOS prevents information leaks and it even discovers bugging devices, plus it makes wiretaps and spyware impossible, said the same Petrov. The tablet mentioned above is a bit thicker than an iPad and it comes with a dual core processor, two cameras, navigation and communication modules, stuff like 3G, Bluetooth and WiFi. This model is dust proof, it works underwater and it can go down to a depth of up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
It even works at temperatures of up to 55 degrees Celsius.
