Everyone was so focused on Viewsonic’s ViewPad 7 and ViewPad 100 tablets during IFA 2010, that they didn’t even notice the MB-P702 PMP/e-reader at the company’s booth. Although this looks like a slate, the 7 inch gizmo is in fact focused on multimedia and it lacks web browsing, Google Maps and even Android.

Instead, it’s got 1080p HD video playback and HDMI output. Also, you get tons of codec supported on the device, ranging from RM, RMVB, AVI, MOV, WMV, MKV, VOB to MP3, WMA, APLE and FLAC. Ebook files are also compatible (PDF, PDB, UMD, CHM and more) plus you get handwritting annotation in PDF files.

The 7 inch display supports a 800 x 480 pixel resolution and there’s also a gaming side tot he device (256 preloaded titles). No info on the pricing yet…
