The Android 4.3 10.4.B.0.577 firmware for the Sony Xperia Tablet Z WiFi version is rolling out right now, about half a month after a similar piece of software came to the Xperia Z1 and the Z Ultra.
The firmware update is now available over PC Companion and SUS, without an OTA solution yet. It’s a pretty big update, at 792 MB. The idea is to connect your slate to the PC Companion app and follow the on screen instructions. The official changelog from Sony includes user interface optimization and smoother graphical experience, plus a new Sony UI with a new homescreen look and feel.
We’ve got Sony’s Smart Social Camera app and downloadable camera apps here, plus a new version of the Battery Stamina mode and security enhancements. You can find here and here the software packages for the US version of the device. I should probably mention that we’ve got a new keyboard app with One Hand keyboard settings and there’s also a better calibrated screen now.
