Google is now offering Android 4.4 KitKat KRT160 factory images for all Nexus 7 slates and the Nexus 4. Their first move this week involved pushing out official Android 4.4 OTA updates for some Nexus devices earlier this week.

Now the factory images and binary files are available for the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 2013 in both the WiFi and LTE version and Nexus 7 2012, both WiFi and data. No news for the Nexus 10, but considering the rumored arrival of a Nexus 10 2, they may be saving that factory image for later, maybe after the release of the new slate.

Factory images are those used to restore a device to a 100% stock rate, even if before it was “spoiled” with custom ROMs. If you own a Nexus 7 2012, you can download the needed file from here and if you own a Nexus 7 2013, the download link is here. It’s interesting to note that KitKat hasn’t yet been updated to Android 4.4.1, meaning the bugs are lacking this time. Usually in just a few days after an official release Google corrected some problems through such an update.
