After so, so many leaks, the HTC One Max is finally official and it packs a 5.9 inch display and fingerprint scanner, as speculated. We’re dealing here with a phablet with a Full HD resolution and a weigh of 217 grams. This product measures 16 cm in length and 10.3 mm in thickness, plus it integrates the famous front facing BoomSound speakers.
There’s also a special $90 power case, that offers an extra 1200 mAh battery, to add to the non removable 3300 mAh battery already on board. The One Max is basically a bigger HTC One, as far as design goes and it includes a fingerprint scanner at the back. Speaking of the back, the cover here is now removable, allowing you to add an extra 64 GB in storage via microSD.
One Max sticks with the quad core Snapdragon 600 1.7 GHz CPU, instead of the rumored Snapdragon 800 and also brings 2 G of RAM, an Ultrapixel camera with no optical stabilization and a front 2 MP camera with wide angle lens. There’s LTE support here and on the OS side there’s Android 4.3 with HTC Sense 5.5 on top and a new level of customization for BlinkFeed.
Other specs include 16/32 GB of storage, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, a microUSB 2.0 port with MHL and 4G LTE connectivity. The camera at the back offers BSI, a pixel size of 2 microns, a 1/3 inch sensor and F/2.0 aperture, plus a 28 mm lens. HTC Zoe and infrared connectivity round up the specs. No idea what the price or launch date is yet…
