We’re about two weeks away from the big Nokia event in New York City, that’s said to bring us the company’s first phablet and tablet ever. The phablet has leaked a lot lately, so there’s basically nothing we don’t know about it… except for the battery. Well, that aspect is also revealed today.
It appears that the device will rely on a beefy 3400 mAh battery to power up the 6 inch Full HD screen, 20 megapixel Pureview camera and Snapdragon 800 quad core CPU. We’ll also get 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage on board and a microSD card slot, as well as Windows Phone 8 GDR3 as the OS. This battery capacity is better than the one of the Galaxy Note 3, that uses a 3200 mAh unit.
While an introduction of the Lumia 1520 is planned for September 26th, the actual launch will go down in November, for AT&T stores at least. This means you’ll have this item ready for purchase around holiday time and hopefully part of the Black Friday craze.
