ASUS didn’t come empty handed at IFA 2013 in Berlin and, as expected they introduced two new members of the MeMo Pad family. Those are the ASUS MeMo Pad 8 and MeMo Pad 10, shown below in white.
Both models offer 1280 x 800 pixel resolutions on IPS panels and both have 1 GB of RAM and 1.6 GHz quad core processors. Of course, they also come with WiFi, Bluetooth and stereo speakers and Android 4.2 as the OS. Sadly, we’ve got not price or launch date, but ASUS did mention they’ll be affordable.
The ASUS MeMo Pad 8 is, as the name indicates an 8 inch slate, that packs 16 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a 5 MP back camera. It relies on a 3950 mAh battery and ASUS promises 9 hours of battery life from that. The device weighs 12 ounces and lacks a GPS. The bigger newcomer is a 10 incher dubbed ASUS MeMo Pad 10, with AGPS, Glonass and a beefy 5070 mAh battery, that offers 9 and a half hours of fun.
This product will come in 8 or 16 GB storage versions and it weighs 1.15 pounds.
