The LG G Pad is one of the most interesting tablets to look out for this year, because it marks a bold return to the segment of slates from a company that stayed away for about 2 years. LG’s first two tablets were not that successful, but they’re having another go…
The newcomer is the LG G Pad, part of the premium G series and while this model has leaked before, this is the first time we see it certified officially. The device got its FCC certification this week and it was previously confirmed by a Bluetooth certification authority as well. The FCC confirms dual band WiFi support and Bluetooth 4.0, but that’s as far as official info goes.
The rumored specs for this model include an 8.3 inch Full HD screen, a Snapdragon 800 processor and 2 GB of RAM. A release of the product is expected at IFA 2013 and if LG is convincing enough, Google may just be kind enough to let them make a Nexus slate in the future… maybe.
