The ASUS MeMo Pad HD 7, a tablet that we’ve already unboxed here has now received a crazy good price on Amazon, according to Ubergizmo.com. It appears that the new 7 inch slate will be priced at just $99 on the famous online store.
Initially the price tag was $149 or $129 in some parts of the world where the 8 GB version was available. Amazon takes it down to $99, which is spectacular for a 7 inch 1280 x 800 slate, with a 5 megapixel camera that’s actually good, 1 GB of RAM and a 1.2 GHz MediaTek quad core processor. By the way, we’re reviewing the tablet these days and we’ll publish its review on our YouTube channel soon enough.
The device packs a microSD card slot, a 1.2 MP front camera and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with a few customizations, including a sort of “Scene” mode from ASUS, floating apps and some cool widgets. I must also say that its battery life is fantastic, but you’ll learn more about that in our review.
