If it’s April 18th in your part of the world, congrats, as it’s the day when your Sony Xperia Tablet S will get the Jelly Bean treatment. Of course, it’s like giving a dying dog a flu shot, but hey, it’s better than nothing, right?
Sony’s latest tablets have failed to take over the market or even make a dent in other Android slate maker’s market share and we can’t help but wonder why. Sony is known for kickass audio, video, imaging and gaming, but they offer none on the tablets. The audio is probably the best part, while the screen is underwhelming, camera is horrible and gaming is non existent.
That applies to the Sony Tablet S, Xperia Tablet S and Sony Tablet P. I must admit I haven’t tested the Xperia Tablet Z yet, but if it’s anything like the Xperia, count me out and put a cross over the grave of the slate, since it’s going down. By the way, Sony is starting to become worse than HTC when it comes to updating a device on time…
