Microsoft has managed to leak the Windows Blue build 9364 hours ago and already hands on videos with the release are surfacing on the web. Those include the video below, that shows a demo of the Windows update on a touchscreen device.

Actually the OS is being displayed using a RDP connection, so that’s why the lag is present. New features include the ability to resize tiles like on Windows Phone 8 and the ability to access a list of all the apps simply by swiping down from the Start menu. Microsoft didn’t exactly keep this release under wraps, since the fist rumors about it appeared last fall, when a job posting casually mentioned the upcoming software.

Other stuff to look out for in Blue is multitasking enhancement, that offers the ability to run two apps side by side with the same application width. There’s also a bigger array of accent colors, deeper SkyDrive integration into the OS and the Charms area now includes a Play option under Devices, while the Share charm offers the screenshot option.
