Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8.0 is supposed to be the response of the South Korean company to the Apple iPad Mini, that changed the whole tablet battle with its 7.9 inch format. Everyone saw the iPad Mini as some sort of response to the Nexus 7, but the fact that it added an extra inch to the diagonal actually made other companies do the same…
Today we’re learning that the upcoming 8 inch slate from Samsung will come to Europe in 3 versions. The Note 8.0 has already leaked a bunch of times, but without clear details regarding its availability. If we have a look at the Bluetooth SIG and what it’s saying, turns out that the 8 incher will be coming in 3 versions to Europe. By the way, the same authority points towards the existence of a Galaxy Tab 3 Plus P8200, with a 10.1 inch display with 2560 x 1600 pixels.
Back to the Note 8.0, it will come in these versions: GT-N5100 (WiFi + 3G), GT-N5110 (WiFi) and GT-N5105 (WiFi + 3G + LTE). This product will be announced at MWC 2013 this month and a big Samsung official has already confirmed the existence of the product, so it’s legit. It will support a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, use an S Pen stylus and quad core CPU, most likely an Exynos one. The starting price of the WiFi unit will be 450 euro.
