AT&T announced yesterday that it will start selling the Lenovo IdeaTab A2107 tablet for a very affordable price. This is a 7 inch slate with a 1 GHz dual core processor, plus 1 GB of RAM and if you think that the specs are not impressive, well maybe the price is: $200 off contract.

The good news is that it has 3G connectivity, 16 GB of storage and Android 4.0 ICS. IdeaTab A2107 packs a 3 megapixel rear camera, a microSD card slot, a front facing camera and used a 3550 mAh battery. The tablet’s screen supports a pretty poor 1024 x 600 pixel resolution , with a pixel density of 170 ppi, far from the Nexus 7 screen performance.

Chris Penrose, senior VP of emerging devices at AT&T claims that this IdeaTab slate is an “option for those in the market for a compact, multifunctional tablet at an affordable price”. You can also pay $100 on this tablet with a 2 year contract, in case you’re wondering.
