You know the saying: when it rains, it pours. That’s what’s happening to the Galaxy Tab devices these days, as many of them are getting the update to Android 4.0 ICS. Today we find out that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE in South Korea are getting their fix of Android 4.0.
Yesterday the WiFi Galaxy Tab 10.1 in USA got it and last I heard the T-Mobile Galaxy Tab 7 Plus also got the update via Kies. Users can download the latest version of Kies to update their devices to Android 4.0 in South Korea. Not sure if the Galaxy Tab 8.9 units available internationally can get the same treatment right now, but you can always try and download the newest Kies and see what happens. You probably know what you’re getting here: improved UI, better performance, Face Unlock and data management.
I guess it will be a while till we get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates and last I heard they were coming in Q4 or so. Expect further delays, especially if you got your tablet through a carrier.
