Android 4.0.3 has just reached the likes of Sony Tablet P and Tablet S, giving the folks who own these original slates a reason to have a better summer. The update combines what ICS is offering with unique new stuff and Sony apps. Sony promises a streamlined user interface with drag and drop folder creation, better multitasking and browser.

Now you get direct access to the full sized SD card and those always on Small Apps, plus enhanced photo viewing options. It’s now easier to create folders on the Workspace with a simple drag and drop gesture and you can also dismiss recently used apps with a single swipe via the multitasking section. The browser has also been made more responsive and now it allows you to toggle between desktop and mobile optimised websites. You can also save pages for offline reading.

There will be an always on top launcher icon that gives you access to the Browser, Remote Control feature and Calculator apps, while you’re doing other stuff on the tablet. Android 4.0.3 also increases speed of the camera area and photo solutions. You also get a wider array of Slideshow Templates for more photo viewing fun. Sony also claims that as an extra treat to loyal customers they’re offering a game called Super Stardust, available now at the PlayStation Store, so feel free to check that out as soon as you can.
