Yet another Android 4.0 tablet from a company we haven’t heard of, this time the Hena MID-1107CM model. What’s strange is that not only the company making this product is a mystery, but also their website, mentioned in the user manual doesn’t exist. Strange, right? Well, it’s important to know that this product has reached the FCC these days.
Well, at least the tablet looks like a solid affordable unit and it comes with a 10.1 inch 1024 x 600 pixel display (capacitive), a 1GHz Boxchip A10 Cortex A8 processor and 1GB of RAM. As mentioned before, this is an Android 4.0 device and it comes with 4GB to 16GB of storage, a microSDHC card slot, WiFi, a mini HDMI port, USB 2.0 port and a mic plus front VGA camera. This sounds like a run of the mill Asian slate with lower end specs, although the screen is actually pretty decent.
Hena MID-1107 CM promises 1080p HD video playback, but the battery will sadly give you a mere 3.5 hours of 1080p playback. 4.5 hours of web surfing are promised and 13 hours of music listening, all of these being underwhelming performances, honestly. That’s less than half the battery time you get on cheap models such as the Nook Tablet or Amazon Kindle Fire. Because of this aspect only a sub $100 price would save this product…
