Dell Streak 7 wasn’t the best selling of tablets, but it’s still a device to keep an eye on, especially now that it received the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update through an experimental port. Courtesy of DJ_Steve and Giveen, the beta build of ICS was posted on the TabletRoms forums and you must know that the software borrows some elements from the Cyanogenmod piece of work.
There’s a huge list of things that don’t work right now and a big disclaimer, so be wary if you use this port. You get Android 4.0.3 and the things that work include WiFi, audio, touchscreen, overclocking, screenshots, capacitive buttons and video acceleration. The problem is that lag is also present, 3G and 4G don’t work, as well as GSM, the camera, Bluetooth and GPS. In case you don’t know exactly what the Dell Streak 7 is, know that this device can be seen as the bigger version of the original Streak 5 incher.
This model features a dual core 1GHz processor (Tegra T20), 1.3MP front camera, a 5MP main camera, T-Mobile HSPA+ connectivity and 16GB of internal storage.
