The name Sakar belongs to a brand that usually makes gadgets for kids and they were also present in Las Vegas at CES 2012. Among the products they showcased there were some Hello Kitty, Disney or Nickelodeon devices. From karaoke machines to USB drives, these guys make basically anything… also a Hello Kitty tablet with Android and $200 price tag.

This slate will hit the market in the holiday season of 2012 and it was shown as a demo unit with Android 2.3 at the booth of the company during CES. The device come with a 7 inch capacitive display with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution, WiFi, two mini USB ports, a microSD card slot and a mini HDMI port. There’s a camera on board at the front with a 0.3MP or 1.3MP res. The Hello Kitty Android tablet only comes with a single physical button upfront, making it look more like an iDevice than anything.

The software shows the rest of the buttons in virtual form (Home, Menu, Back) and as far as specs go, the booth attendants didn’t know the exact hardware, but we can assume we’re dealing with a single core CPU, 512MB of RAM and between 2 and 8GB of storage. Android Market is also apparently on board, but it wasn’t tested to see it if actually works. Well, at least we have an HDMI port to have fun with…
