In order to go around the limitations that come with the band of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 because of the Apple lawsuit, Samsung has decided to tweak its product and offer the banned markets a modified version. Thus, Germany gets the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1N and I’m guessing the same unit will come to Australia, another country that applied bans.
This device comes with some minor design changes, but ones that allow it to perform on the market free of prejudice and lawsuits from Apple. The main difference is the bezel and metal around the slate, since Apple previously said that the edge to edge glass was its iPad trademark. Samsung had to tweak the design to keep Cupertino happy and now everything seems OK.
The South Korean company also changed position of the speakers, that now actually sound better, as a matter of fact. Bluetooth 3.0 was also included in this new version and now Samsung has put its logo very clear on the front and center bottom of the device, to make it clear they’re not copying anyone. I’m still waiting for the first comments from Apple on this concept…
