Ritmix is a name I haven’t heard before, but maybe I’ll remember it now that I know they announced a tablet on the Russian market. The device is called RMD-830 and it’s an 8 inch slate, pictured below. The screen on this device supports 5 point multitouch and it has a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.
The aspect ratio is 4:3 and the device runs on Android 4.0 ICS, plus some preinstalled software from Russian partners and other software makers: Yandex.ru, Mail.ru, Parkrider, RIA Novosti, SPB TV and TuneIn Radio. The slate is based on a 1 GHz CPU (Boxchip A10 Cortex A8) and it comes with 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage and a micro/SDHC card slot with support for up to 32 GB.
This tablet has HDMI out, that is used to offer playback with a resolution of 2160p. Ritmix RMD-830 offers WiFi connectivity, a 0.3MP camera at the front, an accelerometer, a 4300 mAh battery and USB interface. There’s also a 3.5mm audio jack, for an overall package, that weighs 500 grams and measures 14mm in waistline. The device is available for purchase in Russia right now for the equivalent of $174.
